About me

Daniela Ivanšić, PhD – Accredited CBT Therapist

About me

After completing my diploma studies in psychology in Zadar, Croatia, I followed my dream: I moved to Karlsruhe, Germany, to pursue further training as a psychotherapist for adults. In 2011, I passed my state examination and obtained my German license to practice psychotherapy. During my education, I conducted research on the effectiveness of outpatient psychotherapy for chronic complex tinnitus and received my PhD from the University of Koblenz-Landau in 2012. With great joy and curiosity, I continue my education on a regular basis. Currently, as a passionate dancer, I am in the five-year advanced training to become an integrative dance therapist.

Since moving to Germany in 2005, I have gained years of therapeutic experience in outpatient and inpatient as well as in rehabilitation psychotherapy. Since 2013, I am head of the interdisciplinary Tinnitus Center at the University Hospital Jena. In this position, I have an opportunity to combine my passion for psychotherapeutic work with my joy in research on chronic tinnitus. I am also active as a lecturer at training institutes for psychological psychotherapy and various clinics throughout Germany. Since 2021 I have my own private practice in addition to my work at the University Hospital of Jena.

In an honorary capacity, I support tinnitus and hearing loss self-help groups in the area.

Psychotherapy represents a safe place where current issues find their place and new things are tried out. I guide you by means of cognitive behavioral therapy to self-help and we develop strategies for you to master current and future problems.
